Beginnings…. When Professionally Yours HR Consulting & Placements, also known as PY Placements, was initially launched the idea was to put to use the knowledge and extensive experience that the business owner (Kairoon Ghumran) had accumulated over the years within Human Resources: the experience spanned 2 decades, covered various sectors: • Textiles • Clothing • Accounting/auditing • Engineering • Construction • Project management By responding to the needs of small to medium companies in respect of HR interventions. It was an ambitious project with humble beginnings: the private sector companies welcomed assistance initially with recruitment across all levels, and this gave PY the “foot-in-the-door” and what followed was the support of the clients to take the next steps. Thus grew the portfolio, into: • Establishing the company organisation structure (this has various benefits) • Contracts of employment (temporary and permanent) • Induction training • Setting up an HR department • Coaching the HR Practitioner • Coaching existing /new employees on management of working relationships and dealing with situations Today we are actively involved in offering all the above and more: We also do: • Recruitment of suitable contract/permanent employees • Organisational diagnostics from a human perspective • Assist with opening and maintaining communication lines • Help management to understand and motivate staff: “quick-wins” as well as “long-term wins” • Help manage “delinquents” – counsel and discipline • Support the HR practitioner in dealing with stressful situations – giving another perspective and brainstorming solutions • Teambuilding • Performance management
