AcademicTransfer is a nonprofit organization operating in the staffing and recruiting industry. We were founded in 1997 and are headquartered in Utrecht, Netherlands.

We are the platform for a career in research and academia in the Netherlands. For every researcher—from starter to senior—and in every sector, we support finding a research job. We provide access to research jobs in higher education, university medical centers, research institutes, governmental institutions and the industry. In our AcademicsConnected community, we enable exploration of career paths within and outside academia, we share stories from other researchers, and we support self-assessment and preparation for the next step. AcademicTransfer is the cooperative of Dutch knowledge institutions: research universities, university medical centers and top institutes KNAW and NWO.

We operate through a cooperative model that brings together Dutch knowledge institutions to connect researchers with opportunities. We aggregate research jobs across higher education, university medical centers, research institutes, governmental institutions and the industry. We support the exploration of career paths within and outside academia through the AcademicsConnected community, including stories from researchers and self-assessment.

We specialize in recruitment and operate as a career platform serving academia and research, including career advice and listings for PhD jobs, postdoc jobs, professorship jobs, and opportunities in research and development.

We operate in the Netherlands.

Our mission is to attract academics from all over the world to start working in Dutch science.
