Ateljee VZW

We are Ateljee VZW, a nonprofit organization operating in the human resources industry, headquartered in Gent, Belgium.

We employ people who face reduced opportunities on the labor market. Our project De Kringwinkel has stores in Gent, Evergem, Merelbeke, Nazareth and Deinze. We also work with Velomaat, a bicycle project, and with the social restaurants of Het Restaurant, as well as our social restaurant and cultural center Parnassus and our internal technical service. We believe that employment provides opportunities for a better life and personal growth. We place a strong emphasis on on-the-job training and education in the workplace. Some employees progress to regular employment. We also provide assistance to people facing financial difficulties; in our shops and restaurants they receive discounts. Across our activities, people, society and the environment are central.

We deliver our services through social enterprises and related projects that place people in work placements and provide training at the workplace. We focus on on-the-job training and education on the job, and we support progression to regular employment where possible.

Our specialties include Kringwinkel (thrift stores), Sociaal restaurant (social restaurant), Fietsherstelplaats trans-fair (bike repair place), and Parnassus.

We operate in Belgium, with De Kringwinkel stores in the cities of Gent, Evergem, Merelbeke, Nazareth and Deinze.
