Biomed Badass is a privately held staffing and recruiting company operating in the staffing and recruiting industry. We are headquartered in Blackrock, Ireland.

We were created by a cell biologist with over 15 years of experience as a biomedical researcher in the cancer field, who has run an academic research lab in the United Kingdom since 2011. This transition to the commercial sector was undertaken to raise the direct impact we have on improving patient care. The new role is permanent, better paid than the academic post, has a clearly defined path for ongoing career progression, and retains aspects of the former academic role that are enjoyed most: data analysis, scientific writing, and project management.

We support biomedical researchers, who are highly skilled in numeracy, writing, problem-solving, data analysis, and increasingly programming. We are driven to help biomedical researchers explore the variety of professional roles open to them, aid in finding the right path, and support in excelling in their chosen industry, whether academic or non-academic.

We are based in Ireland.

We aim to promote the potential positives of all options available to biomedical researchers and neutralise any negativity that can arise from exploring post-academic careers.
