OED-Operação de Emprego para Pessoas com Deficiência

OED-Operação de Emprego para Pessoas com Deficiência is a nonprofit organization operating in the staffing and recruitment industry. We were founded in 1990 and are headquartered in Lisbon, Portugal.

We provide a free mediation service in recruitment and hiring processes for people with disabilities across a wide range of sectors. The service arises from a protocol established in 1990 between the Lisbon City Council, the Institute for Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP), and the current Fundação LIGA. In July 2015, the year when we marked our 25th anniversary, the three entities reaffirmed their interest in continuing the partnership by signing a revised and reformulated cooperation agreement. The service supports the entire process of professional inclusion. It provides advisory in recruitment, pre-selection, contracting, and post-hiring follow-up for candidates. It also supports companies applying for the subsidies to hiring provided by IEFP, which include significant increases for hiring people with disabilities.

Since its implementation, we have played a fundamental role in raising awareness among the business community, with more than 129,858 contacts with potential employers. To date, we have achieved more than 1,406 professional integrations and conducted around 17,305 follow-up actions with companies, workers with disabilities, and their families.
