It all began in September 1719, when a fearless pirate decided to recruit a crew of high-performing and loyal intrapreneurs to conquer the Caribbean. In terms of business opportunities, the Caribbean was to an eighteenth-century pirate what the Silicon Valley is to a founder of a digital startup in the early 2000s. The pirate took a bold risk by betting on competence and potential, challenging the dogmas and codes of the profession.
