SkillsTorch is a venture-backed start-up that brings a new dimension and recruitment of blue collar workers across the East African region. We currently have footprints in Nairobi Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and we are rapidly expanding to cover more demographics in the African continent. While the idea maybe not novel, our approach is and we aim to bring a fresh, tech based, efficient, safe, convenient and reliable way to recruit workers from the convenient of your home or office. We also offer corporate package deals for companies seeking to outsource their informal roles. We currently have 75 permanent staff across the region, working remotely from home. We have a database of over 10,000 across the region in different sectors. Our verification process is rigorous to ensure safety to our clientele. Our mandate to practice sustainable business with respect to the environment is the driving force behind our CSR practices across the regions of operations. We plan on opening the service to Sub-Saharan Africa in 2021-2022 with Cape Town and Lagos as our next target.
