The Human Resource Management Association of Jamaica (HRMAJ)

We are The Human Resource Management Association of Jamaica (HRMAJ), a nonprofit organization operating in the human resources industry. We were founded in 1981 and are headquartered in Kingston, Jamaica.

Our purpose is to promote and encourage the collection, development and dissemination of information relating to the practice, experience and results of human resource development and management in Jamaica. Our membership consists of human resource professionals and practitioners, management consultants, teachers, project leaders and business advisors from public, private and non government sectors. We facilitate networking among HRD/HRM professionals and practitioners. We provide accreditation for HR professionals and practitioners. We foster improved public understanding about the role, potential and need for human resource development and its relevance to national development. We promote and facilitate the professional development of members. We encourage research and analysis into human resource management issues with a view to contributing to national discussion and policy development. We establish and nurture standards of performance, efficiency and ethics in the human resource field.

We deliver our services by offering membership at the levels of student, associate, general and honorary, and by facilitating networking among HRD/HRM professionals and practitioners, providing accreditation for HR professionals and practitioners, and promoting the professional development of members.
