TINADA YOUTH ACTION AFRICA is a pioneering non-governmental organization that has been at the forefront of improving the well-being of vulnerable youth, women, and persons with disabilities across Kenya, Uganda, and parts of the Horn of Africa. With over two decades of impactful work, we are committed to creating sustainable, community-driven solutions that address the most pressing challenges faced by marginalized populations. Our core areas of focus include Integrated Health Services, where we prioritize accessible and quality health services through a community-based approach. This includes Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services (MHPSS), Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR), Maternal Health, and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention. These services are integrated to promote holistic well-being across all sectors, ensuring individuals receive the care and support they need to thrive. We also focus on Education Empowerment by providing young people, especially youth and women, with educational opportunities, skills training, and mentorship programs. We create pathways to decent work and long-term economic opportunities, ensuring that young people and vulnerable communities are equipped to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Through our work in Decent Work and Economic Growth, we create avenues for economic empowerment through vocational training, entrepreneurship support, and access to livelihoods. These initiatives enable vulnerable communities to become financially independent and resilient, breaking the cycle of poverty. Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change are also key components of our work. We integrate climate resilience into our programs, focusing on disaster preparedness and adaptation strategies that help communities build resilience against climate-related challenges, such as drought, flooding, and food insecurity.
