Ikigai Agent

Ikigai Agent is a privately held recruitment company operating in the staffing and recruiting industry. We were founded in 2020 and are headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.

We were founded to support rapidly growing companies to scale quickly in the JAPAC market, based on the foundation of great people and to help candidates as they look to find a better work environment to achieve their career goals. We view JAPAC as an important market in a global growth story, and, as in all markets, success starts with finding great talent. We aim to play a critical part in supporting clients' revenue growth in JAPAC and helping local candidates develop their skillsets and career aspirations by aligning them with their IKIGAI.

We work remotely with close to zero in-person interactions with candidates and clients throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. This experience changed our thinking and strategies about the way to communicate with candidates and clients. We focus on understanding a candidate’s career goals and a client’s hiring objectives and consider how the pandemic has affected each person’s life at home and at work. COVID-19 has created a growing number of challenges for companies seeking talent around the world, including companies hoping to enter and scale in Japan.

We operate in Japan and Singapore.
