Fonden De Unge Raske

Fonden De Unge Raske is a nonprofit organization operating in the human resources industry. We are headquartered in Svendborg, Denmark.

Our purpose is to support young people aged 15-25 who are relatives of someone who has died or who are close to someone living with chronic, serious, or mental illness.

We apply an anthropological approach to the health programs. We ask open questions during the application process to give the young carers the opportunity to share their experiences and needs from their own perspective. Their statements generate knowledge to guide the selection of instructors and activities for the programs in which they participate.

We offer health programs for young women and health programs for young men, as well as peer discussion groups with like-minded participants. We work to advocate for a relative policy that ensures equal access and opportunity for all in Svendborg and the surrounding area.

We operate in Denmark, with activities centered in Svendborg and the surrounding area.

We seek to set our own preconceptions aside to let the young people's perspectives take the lead.
