startIGU is a privately held staffing and recruiting company operating in the staffing and human resources industry. We were founded in 2019 and are headquartered in Søborg, Denmark.

We operate startIGU.nu, a website that functions as a job bank for unemployed citizens covered by the Integration Act. Unemployed individuals, as well as job centers’ job consultants and social workers, can search for relevant positions. The job bank will host postings for both private IGU roles and, over time, state and municipal IGU jobs.

IGU stands for Integration Grund Uddannelsen. It is anchored at the workplace and is a two-year agreement between the employer and the employee. The IGU includes up to 20 weeks of training for the employee, with the employer ensuring that the training directions and courses pursued by the IGU trainee align with the tasks to be performed in the company. This is intended to support ordinary employment after completing the two-year IGU and to maintain a lasting connection to the Danish labor market.
